Trading Battlefield
Risk Disclosure
Last Updated: September 19, 2026
Trading and investing involve risk of financial loss. Certain products and strategies—including futures, options, leveraged foreign exchange, margin trading, and other leveraged or derivative products—can involve substantial risk and may produce losses rapidly.
Trading Battlefield provides education intended to help traders develop their knowledge, preparation, risk management, analysis, execution, and decision-making skills. Education can improve a trader's process, but it cannot eliminate market risk, execution risk, behavioral risk, or the possibility of financial loss.
You are responsible for understanding the risks of the markets, products, accounts, and strategies you choose to trade.
01 Trading Involves Risk of Loss
There is no trading method, analytical framework, risk-management technique, educational program, or level of preparation that can eliminate the possibility of loss.
A trade can be well researched, properly planned, appropriately sized, and correctly executed and still lose money. Markets are uncertain, and outcomes cannot be known in advance.
You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose or with funds needed for living expenses, emergencies, debt obligations, or other essential financial commitments.
02 Leverage Can Magnify Losses
Many trading products allow a trader to control a position whose value is substantially greater than the capital required to establish or maintain it. This leverage can magnify both gains and losses.
Relatively small market movements can therefore produce significant changes in account equity. Increasing leverage may also reduce the amount of adverse market movement an account can withstand before additional margin, position liquidation, or other action becomes necessary.
Depending on the product, account structure, market conditions, and applicable rules, losses may exceed the amount initially committed to a position.
03 Volatility and Market Conditions
Markets can move rapidly and unpredictably. Prices may change because of economic information, news, geopolitical events, market structure, changes in liquidity, order flow, unexpected events, or factors that may not be immediately apparent.
Volatility can increase suddenly. A market that appears orderly under normal conditions may behave very differently during periods of stress, uncertainty, or unusually heavy trading.
Trading Battlefield cannot predict when these conditions will occur or how a particular market will respond.
04 Liquidity, Execution, and Slippage
Market conditions can affect your ability to enter or exit a position at the price or time you intend. Volatility, gaps, limited liquidity, order-book conditions, exchange events, and rapidly changing markets can result in slippage, partial fills, delayed fills, or an inability to execute an order as expected.
The price displayed on a chart or trading platform is not a guarantee that an order can be executed at that price.
Orders intended to limit losses, including stop orders, do not guarantee that a position will be exited at a particular price or that losses will be limited to a predetermined amount.
As a result, the amount of risk planned before a trade and the loss ultimately realized may be different.
05 Technology and Third-Party Systems
Modern trading depends on technology and third-party systems that can fail, become unavailable, experience delays, or provide incomplete or inaccurate information.
Internet connections, computers, mobile devices, trading platforms, market-data feeds, brokers, clearing firms, exchanges, and other systems may experience outages, latency, errors, interruptions, or other failures.
A technology failure may prevent you from entering, modifying, canceling, or monitoring an order or position when you intend to do so.
Trading Battlefield does not control these third-party systems and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy, reliability, or performance.
06 Market Data and Analytical Tools
Market data, charts, indicators, order-flow displays, market profiles, volume information, analytical tools, and other trading resources may contain errors, delays, omissions, or differences resulting from data sources, software, configuration, methodology, or market conditions.
Different platforms or data providers may display or calculate information differently. Historical data may also differ from information that was available to a trader in real time.
No chart, indicator, analytical tool, data feed, or software platform should be assumed to provide complete or infallible information about a market.
07 Educational Examples
Trading Battlefield may use historical charts, screenshots, market replay, hypothetical trades, reconstructed market situations, and other examples to explain trading concepts.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, these materials are educational examples. They are not representations of actual trading performance and are not claims that a trader would have achieved the illustrated outcome.
Looking at a completed market move is fundamentally different from making a decision while that market is unfolding. Historical examples can provide useful context, but they cannot reproduce the uncertainty that existed in real time.
08 Hypothetical and Simulated Results
Hypothetical, simulated, reconstructed, replay, and historical performance results have inherent limitations. They do not represent actual trading under real market conditions and may benefit from hindsight.
Such results may not fully reflect liquidity, slippage, execution uncertainty, commissions and costs, changing market conditions, financial pressure, or the practical difficulty of following a trading approach while actual money is at risk.
Simulated trading also cannot completely reproduce the effects that gains, losses, uncertainty, and financial consequences can have on actual trading decisions.
No representation is made that any account will achieve results similar to those shown in a hypothetical, simulated, reconstructed, replay, or historical performance example.
09 Past Performance
Past performance does not guarantee or necessarily indicate future results.
Market conditions change. Liquidity changes. Volatility changes. Participants change. Technology, regulation, market structure, and economic conditions change.
A trading method, decision, technique, or approach that produced a particular result during one period may produce a different result under other conditions.
10 Testimonials and Member Results
Trading Battlefield may from time to time discuss or present the experiences, progress, or results of individual traders or members.
An individual's experience is that individual's experience. It should not be interpreted as a promise, guarantee, or representation that another trader will achieve the same or similar results.
Trading results vary substantially based on experience, preparation, capital, leverage, risk tolerance, execution, discipline, market conditions, and individual decisions.
When Trading Battlefield presents trading results or testimonials, our objective is to identify them honestly and provide material context rather than imply that an exceptional result represents what members should ordinarily expect.
11 Trading Is Not Appropriate for Everyone
Trading is not appropriate for everyone. Before trading, you should consider your financial circumstances, experience, objectives, risk tolerance, and ability to withstand losses.
The fact that Trading Battlefield provides educational material about a market, product, strategy, analytical method, or trading technique does not mean that it is appropriate for you.
Only you can determine whether trading is appropriate for your circumstances. When appropriate, you should seek advice from qualified financial, legal, or tax professionals regarding matters specific to your situation.
12 Behavioral Risk
Trading under uncertainty and financial pressure can affect decision-making. Fear, greed, frustration, overconfidence, impatience, and the desire to recover losses can lead traders to abandon their plans, increase risk, overtrade, move or remove stops, add to losing positions, or otherwise act differently than intended.
Education, preparation, and risk-management rules can help establish a disciplined process, but they cannot ensure that a trader will follow that process in live markets.
Ultimately, you are responsible for the trading decisions you make and the amount of financial risk you choose to accept.
13 Different Markets Carry Different Risks
Trading Battlefield may teach concepts using particular markets or instruments. That does not mean those concepts will apply identically to other markets, products, account structures, or trading environments.
Futures, options, equities, foreign exchange, digital assets, and other financial products have different characteristics and risks. Different markets, brokers, exchanges, account types, and jurisdictions may also be subject to different rules, protections, trading practices, margin requirements, costs, tax treatment, and regulatory frameworks.
Protections available in one market or jurisdiction may not be available in another.
Digital assets and certain other products may involve additional risks, including custody, counterparty, technology, liquidity, market-structure, and regulatory risks.
You are responsible for understanding the characteristics, rules, costs, and risks of the specific products and accounts you choose to trade.
14 Education Does Not Eliminate Risk
Trading Battlefield exists to help traders become better informed, better prepared, and more capable of making their own decisions. That education does not transfer responsibility for those decisions to Trading Battlefield.
No lesson, framework, methodology, chart, example, discussion, coach, or educational resource can tell you with certainty what a market will do next.
You remain responsible for deciding whether to trade, what to trade, when to trade, how much capital to risk, how to manage a position, and when to stop trading.
